In this guide I’m starting from a brand new world with no boosts whatsoever. The only Shards I’ll have are the 500 provided at the start.
I’m going to go into a bit more detail here and there to try and make everything make sense. But if you’re not sure of anything, just message me in the game.
What We Are Aiming For
What we will be trying to do is gradually build up our resources so we can eventually build a good size settlement with lots of Actions and have enough Boost and Units to fight until the end.
The Start
Firstly, open the map and pick either Red or Blue. It’s best to stick with this choice all the way through. Then fight if you can, without losing too many Units. Especially Catapults.
A good combination is to use 6 x catapult and 2 x any other. The other units will take the punishment and won’t be needed after today.
Another option is to donate Goods. But NOT Rope.
The third option is really easy if fighting is hard. Just save all your Actions until after a Collection or two. By then you’ll have enough Units to fight and the prizes in Qi improve as the excursion progresses anyway. The last thing you want is to over do things today and be on the back foot tomorrow.
Settlement
Our objection is to produce enough Chrono to build a Bakery as soon as possible. as houses are the smallest building that produce Chrono, we will only use these.
We start with:
- No Expansions
- 15 Estate Houses
- 21 Multistory Houses
I didn’t even try to fight on the map at the start. I know I’ll just lose units. There was a goods donating node open though, so donated what I could and used up some Actions.
And here is my settlement:

First Collection
We need to start collecting/deleting. It works like this. We delete 4 x Multistory Houses, then build a Church. We delete 2 x Multistory Houses, then build a Church. And so on.
Once we get to full happiness, we collect. Then delete Churches and fill with houses again.
Now we have the following.
Now chill for another 10 hours. The next two collections will be very similar. Then we start getting somewhere.
Second Collection
Literally the same as the first. Delete houses and build churches as before.
Then collect all, delete Churches and build houses again.
Now we have 730 Chrono. On next collection we will have 1000, then things change.
If you are out of Units and can’t fight at the moment, just wait until third collection.
