In this guide I’m going to assume anyone trying it has a reasonable idea of how Qi works. For a more detailed explanation, check out the New World guide. As with everything on this site, it’s just the way I do things. I’m sure there are plenty of way better guides & always happy to learn from everyone.
The Start
First, use up any many actions as possible, ideally without losing units. Especially Catapults. Then, over to the Settlement.
Settlement
I’m basing this around my city in MK world. I have very few boosts, the only one that might help at the start is I get an extra 70,000 coins from my city.
I also have well over 2000 Shards, but will use no more than 1800, so if you have 1800 free all is good. Don’t worry about spending them, you should get them all back over the 12 days.
If you have enough goods to buy an expansion at the start, do this and buy one less with Shards. Don’t use your rope though as you’ll need it later. I don’t have enough goods.
I build:
- 3 Expansions (bought with Shards)
- 21 Estate Houses
- 21 Multistory Houses
I would have added another 6 Multistory Houses if I could to fill the space, but ran out of coin.
The reason I do the map before the settlement is I might get lucky and get more coins. This was before I started:
And this was after I’d finished, so I did get a few coins:
Total spend on Shards was 460 (3 x expansion, 1 x rock removal). Won a few back though on the map.
Don’t worry about the terrible happiness now. We can sort it out on first collection.
All that we are trying to do is get Chrono for now. That’s why we only build houses. They are small.
Now nothing until first collection.
First Collection
Now we start to move. First, we need to gradually delete Multistory Houses and build Happiness. We don’t collect anything, go into flat mode and start deleting.
Once we have full Happiness, we collect. Now we rebuild our houses.
And a Ropery.
Then use our remaining coins/supplies to produce rope and buy expansions.
This is what we now have
Now, apart from a few fights, we wait for the next collection. It will be pretty much the same without buying a Ropery.
Little insert
For anyone wondering why I said before my optimal strategy is with 4 x expansion at start, along with 50 goods and 200,000 coins, here’s why from my Main World.
Basically the same as here, but because of more space, over 500 Chrono. So one more collection and over 1000, which saves 10 hours.
Second Collection
This one is almost the same as the first. Build delete until at full Happiness. Using one Palace this time got me to just enough, without deleting Estate Houses.
Then collect all, then rebuild houses.
Now we have 800 Chrono. The next collection things change.
